It’s always nice to look back on things that we’ve achieved and things we’re proud of isn’t it? I don’t often do this so I thought it was about time I did. I’ve had a think about what I achieved in 2018, and what I’m most proud of and decided on three things to share with you today, so here goes.
Turned my little shop into a proper business!
My goodness. If you asked me back in 2017 whether I thought I’d be running a full time Etsy shop I’d have laughed at you. I did not expect my little shop to take off like it has at all. It’s amazing and I am so happy with myself for it. I’ve always wanted to be able to work from home, I have two dogs so I never wanted to have to work full time and leave them all day, I refused to, so I am so happy I don’t have to worry about that anymore and I can actually enjoy, no love, what I am doing. It’s amazing.
Saved double the I amount I planned to save!
Okay so money isn’t everything and all that, but for me it’s pretty important. As most of you will know I want to run my own rescue, and for that to be possible I need to save a lot of money, buy the right place and so on so each year I’ve been setting myself a little goal on the amount I want to save and last year I doubled it. When I realised this I was gobsmacked and I honestly felt so bloody proud of myself for being able to do it, especially since I’m such a shopaholic. It means my goal is set much higher this year though!
Spent more time doing the things I love
I have to admit, 2018 wasn’t my favourite year, I spent most of it being busy and not really getting much time for myself, but when I look back over the whole year, I realise I actually did a lot of the things I love. I managed to read over 100 books for a start.. and I spent a hell of a lot of time making bookmarks, which I enjoy so much. I spent more time with my family.. too much infact! And we visited new places and saw new things. I’m glad that, even though it wasn’t intentional, I did actually managed to do that things that I love, to spend time doing exactly what I wanted to do.
